Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
